Privacy Policy
What we store (on your device)
Your tasks, habits and settings are stored locally on your device (in the app's storage / app group). They are never uploaded to us. Deleting the app removes them.
Voice & AI (Groq)
TaskSlap turns your speech into tasks using Groq with your own Groq API key. When you record or type a task:
- The audio recording and/or text is sent directly from your device to Groq (groq.com) using your key, to transcribe it and structure it into tasks.
- This is processed under Groq's terms and privacy policy. We do not receive, see, or store your recordings, transcripts, or tasks.
- Your API key is stored only in your device's Keychain.
Integrations (Apple Reminders, Todoist, TickTick)
If you enable an integration, TaskSlap sends your tasks directly from your device to that service using your own token/credentials, to mirror them there. This is governed by that service's own privacy policy. Your tokens are stored only in your device's Keychain. Nothing is sent to us.
Permissions
- Microphone — to record when you speak a task.
- Notifications — to deliver reminders and habit nudges.
- Reminders — only if you enable Apple Reminders export.
Analytics & tracking
None. TaskSlap contains no analytics, no ads, and no tracking.
Children
TaskSlap is not directed to children under 13.
Changes
We may update this policy; the date above reflects the latest version.
Terms of Use
Using TaskSlap
TaskSlap is a personal task and habit app that runs on your device. By using it, you agree to these terms.
Your keys & tokens
Voice/AI features require your own Groq API key, and integrations require your own service tokens. You are responsible for your keys and any usage under them, and for complying with those services' terms. Keep them private.
Acceptable use
Use TaskSlap for your own personal task management. Don't misuse the app or attempt to disrupt it.
No warranty
TaskSlap is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. AI transcription and task parsing may contain errors — review important items. We are not liable for lost data or missed reminders.
Data & backups
Your data is stored on your device only. Deleting the app deletes your data. You are responsible for keeping anything important.
Changes
We may update these terms; continued use means you accept the changes.
